Description

Description (Service)

The Community Education Program staff are available to inform the community of the organizations programs and services, the dynamics of family violence and related topics in a culturally sensitive manner. This is achieved through facility tours, presentations, workshops, distribution of resource materials, brochures and newsletters

Cultural Sensitivity Presentations - are designed to provide the mainstream community with an awareness of the history of family violence from an Onkwehonwe (First Nations) perspective as well as to promote an appreciation for Onkwehonwe culture. Providing a basis for understanding the unique challenges faced by Onkwehonwe people will assist individuals and organizations to work more sensitively with Onkwehonwe people
