| Description | The Last Post Fund is a non-profit and registered charitable organization for the purpose of ensuring the provision of dignified funeral and burial services on behalf of war veterans and disability pensioners, who, at the time of death, meet service and financial eligibility criteria, or are entitled to financial assistance towards last sickness, funeral, burial and/or cremation expenses, as a matter-of-right. The Last Post Fund has offices in every province except Prince Edward Island which is administered by the New Brunswick Branch. The National Office of the Last Post Fund is located in Montreal. The Last Post Fund national and provincial organizations comprise both volunteer members and paid employees who have the responsibility for the management and operation of the funeral and burial program , as well as for liaison with Veterans Affairs Canada on all matters affecting program delivery.
