Description (Service)Skill building and support services enable the family, including siblings, parents and/or guardians to better address a child or youth’s mental health issues by changing attitudes and behaviours, providing support as they adjust to new diagnoses, building skills and competencies, and/or creating awareness and resiliency. 
Family/caregiver skill building and support services may include the provision of effective parenting strategies as well as access to peer supports to promote resilience and positive child/youth/family functioning
